William H. Boyette

                William H. Boyette, age 88 formally of Greencastle, went to be with the Lord January 24th, 2021.  He was born February 22nd, 1932 in Meridian, Mississippi to the late Jessie and Hettie Boyette.  He married Mary Boyette October 20th, 1955 and she preceded him in death March 20th, 2019.  He served his country in the United States Navy as a frogman during the Korean War, and was a pastor from 1978 until 2019 retiring from Greencastle First Southern Baptist Church.

                 He is also survived by his sons Billy Boyette and Jesse “Karl” Boyette and his wife Anna; daughter Sandy Masten and her husband Brent, 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  Siblings; Barbara Strahan, and Jane Covington.  In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter in-law Lavada Boyette wife of Billy, siblings Steve Boyette, Jack Boyette, and Katherine Rutledge. 

                 A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 20th, 2021 at 2:00pm, Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.  Visitation will be held from noon until service time.  Condolences may be made at www.whitakerfuneralhome.net
