Obituary
Virginia “Ginny” Lorene (Dorsett) Gaston, 93 of Stilesville, Indiana passed away December 9, 2022. She was born August 17, 1929 to Thomas C. and Linnie E. (Broadstreet) Dorsett in the town of Broad Park in Putnam County, Indiana.
She graduated from Belle Union High School in 1947 and Ball State University in 1951. She taught in elementary schools in Mooresville, Belle Union and Buck Creek, Indiana.
She married her high school sweetheart Harris Eugene “Gene” Gaston on January 27, 1951 in Muncie, Indiana. They bought their home east of Stilesville in 1957 and resided there through the remainder of their lives.
Harris Eugene passed away in 2003 and their son L. G. of Indianapolis survives. Other survivors include several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Laura Catherine (Dorsett) Vickrey, Mingle Christine Dorsett, three nephews and her best friend Phyllis (Morris) Roemmel.
In accordance with Virginia’s wishes, there will be no public viewing or visitation. A private burial will occur in the Stilesville Cemetery. Condolences may be made at www.whitakerfuneral home.net.
