Marvin "Moot" Weston

              Marvin “Moot” T. Weston, age 93 of Quincy, passed away August 29th, 2026.  He was born October 31st, 1932 in Kyles Ford, Tennessee to the late Walter and Ella K. (Belcher)Weston.  He married Mary L. (Roddy)Weston April 22nd, 1957 and she preceded him in death November 13th, 2016.  He served his country in the United States Army in the Korean War.  He was a truck driver for many years until retirement, was a private pilot, and was the best local moonshiner in the area.
              Marvin is also survived by his daughter Jamie and her husband Harry (Gib) Harris. Grandchild Kyle (Amie) Cerk, and his cousin Cheryl Pace.  In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by his children Mark Weston, and infant Brock Tyler Weston.  Siblings, Chester Weston, Dorris, and Jeanette.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans at www.dav.org.   

              Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 5th, 2026 at 11:00am, Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.  Visitation will be held from 10:00am until service time.  Burial will follow at the Mannan Cemetery.  Condolences may be made at www.whitakerfunerals.net.
