Josephine "Jo" Messer

                Josephine “Jo” Messer, age 86 of Eminence, went to be with the Lord April 19th, 2021.  She was born March 25th, 1935 in Indianapolis to the late Ralph and Pauline (Wenning)Wilson.  She married J.B. Messer November 19th, 1955 and preceded her in death December 7th, 2003.  She was an avid horse lover, and was a part of the appaloosa horse club and one of the founding members of Valley Riders Saddle Club.               

                She is survived by her children Kathy Taylor, Bret Messer, and Melanie Zimmerman and husband Alan.  Grandchildren Rebecca Roberts, Ethan Taylor, Justin Rominger, and Sarah Taylor.  Great Grandchildren Jack Rominger, Luke Roberts, Addison Roberts, Joshua Roberts, and Easton Taylor.  In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brother Edward Wilson.

                Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 22nd, 2021 at 2:00pm, Shumaker Cemetery in Martinsville, IN.  Later in the summer there will be a corn roast in memory of J.B. and Jo at the farm.  Condolences may be made at www.whitakerfuneralhome.net
