James J. Hess

James J. Hess, age 72, went to be with the Lord, July 31st, 2021.

Born April 19th, 1949 in Long Island, NY to the late James and Wanda (Ahlm) Hess.

Jim married Kathy Lybbert in the Salt Lake Temple, Salt Lake Utah on April 6th, 2009 and she survives.

Jim was a dedicated long-haul truck driver for 36 years. He was a highly decorated Corporal in the Marines serving honorably in the Vietnam War. All that knew him recognized his positive, outgoing personality. Jim was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints of Greencastle.

In addition to his wife Kathy Jim is survived by his stepson Bill Davis and brother Fred Hess.

A Celebration of Life for Jim will be held at 10:00 am Monday August 9th, 2021 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 280 E. County Rd 300 S. Greencastle, IN. with military honors to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle.
