Jacqueline(Jackie) L. Hays

Jacqueline (Jackie) Louise Hays (80) of Marco Island, Florida, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of April, 13th 2022. Jackie was born September 8, 1941 in Beech Grove, Indiana to the late Arthur (Art) and Pauline Crawley. She was raised in Greencastle, Indiana on the family farm and attended Cloverdale High School. She found her love for baking at an early age and blessed many people with her cakes. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and took great pride in being so. She loved to travel and was always on the go. She was a proud member of United Church of Marco Island and SEAgals. She is described by her family as a flower that was always in bloom. She had many friends and will be greatly missed by them all.

Jackie is survived by her son Rob Carmichael and daughter Lisa Button. Grandchildren, Brandon David, Tawny (David) Moreno, Michael (Katie) Settles, Danielle (Will) Emery, Robbie Carmichael, Cicely Brown, Abbi (Joe) Stratton, Zach Carmichael, Mariah Cooper, Travis Cratty and 15 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, sister Marilyn Jean, husband Donald Carmichael, husband Lu Hays, daughter Connie Cooper and daughter Donita Cratty.

Services for Jackie will be held Saturday, May 14th from 1-3 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.  A meal to follow at Cloverdale Methodist Church from 3-5.
