Helen M. (Dozier) Ogles was born February 28, 1925 and passed into Heaven on July 8th, 2020 at Mill Pond Health Campus in Greencastle, Indiana. She was married to the late Morris Glenn Ogles. They were married for 68 years and lived in Belle Union all of their married life.
Helen had three children. A daughter, Jenny Miller who passed in 2008. She is survived by her husband, Howard Miller. She also has a daughter, Trudy (John) Tharp of Plainfield, and a son Kevin (Carol) Ogles of Burlington, North Carolina. She has 6 grandchildren. Zach Tharp, Amy (Mike) Nickol, Josh (Jessi) Tharp, Jonah (Taylor) Ogles, Samuel (Katie) Ogles and Hannah Hendricks. Helen has 10 great grandchildren Madison Tharp, Mason Tharp, Ashton Shaw, MaKye Tharp, Khayley Tharp, Abby Nickol, Tyler Nickol, Matthew Nickol, Norah Hendricks and Auden Hughes Ogles.
Helen was a Mom, a homemaker, and a farmer’s wife. She also worked several years in the Trust Department of Central National Bank in Greencastle. Helen was a strong woman with a strong Christian faith. She was a Sunday School teacher who taught the youngest of worshipers, and lifelong members of Walnut Chapel Friends Church.
Our Mom was a very kind woman and even though she had a quiet disposition, she made a caring and lasting impression on those who knew her. We are forever grateful that she was our Mom, grandmother and great grandmother. She was very loved and will be missed very much.
Helen was the daughter of the late Joe and Grace (Cloncs) Dozier. She had 7 brothers and sisters. Two sisters survive, Geneva Long and Mary Anderson.
A private service for immediate family only will be held at Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale, Indiana on July 11th, 2020 at 2pm. Phillip Gulley, a Friends (Quaker) Minister will be officiating the services. She will be laid to rest beside her late husband at Walnut Chapel Cemetery.
