Obituary

Dixie L. Flory, age 86 of Gosport passed away June 28th, 2023.

She was born August 3rd, 1936 to the late Anson and Opal (Longstreet) Golditz.

Dixie married Charles Flory September 18th, 1955 and he preceded her in death January 21st, 2013.

She is survived by her children Kathleen Gurklies; Doug (Cheryl) Flory, Dale (Dawn) Flory, Denis (Teri) Flory; grandchildren Kristen Markley, Kevin Gurklies, Kristopher Gurklies, Jason Flory, Justin Flory, Joshua Flory, Sarah Hooley; 17 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she is also preceded in death by her brother William Longo and son-in-law Kerry Gurklies.

A celebration of life and graveside services will be held at a later date. Condolences may be made at www.whitakerfuneralhome.net
