Chester DeWayne Query, age 90 of Greencastle passed away July 13th, 2023. He was born January 23rd, 1933 to the late Chester Fredrick and Mary Helen (Cox) Query.
Chester married Sylvia Query August 9th, 1953 and she preceded him in death July 27th, 2022. Chester was a farmer and worked for IBM for many years, he was a member and former Commander of the Greencastle VFW and a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his son Rick Query and his wife June; grandchildren, Melanie Myers and husband Chuck, David Query and his wife Donicca; great-grandchildren Devin Myers, Austin (Keyara) Myers, Sierra (Ivan Gomez) Myers, Haylee Query, Daisy Query, Carley Dickenson; great-great-grandchildren Braxten Daugherty, Raylan Myers, Haddie Myers, Paisley Myers, Ithyn Stephenson, Baine Myers, Hazel Gomez and baby Gomez due in December. In addition to his wife and parents he is also preceded in death by his brother Marvin Query. Funeral services for Chester will be held Saturday, July 22nd, 2023 at 1:00 pm, Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the service time.
