Alan Thomas "Tom" Jones

Alan Thomas "Tom" Jones age 83 formerly of Cloverdale passed away on April 10, 2026. He was born in Greencastle Indiana to the late Dale and Virginia (Morgan)Jones. He was a graduate of Greencastle high school and proudly served his country in the United States Army. 

Tom was well known in the Cloverdale area as a long time auctioneer and owner of both Jones Liquor and Jones Auction Realty. Tom served as a volunteer fireman, supported Cub Scout fundraising activities and donated services to Habitat for Humanity and the American Heart Association.

Tom was survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary (Madden) Jones and his daughter Breck (Jones) Vining, son in law James and by his granddaughter Annika Vining.

Visitation will be held from noon until 3 PM on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale, Indiana. Following visitation internment will be private for the family. Condolences maybe you made at whitakerfunerals.net.
