Jonathan Robert Ray

It is with great sadness the family of Jonathan Robert Ray announces his unexpected passing, on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at the age of 29.

Jonathan "Jon" was born in Indianapolis, IN on January 9, 1989 to Joseph and Julie Ray.  

Jon was a graduate of Neenah High School and studied at various colleges in Wisconsin before finding his passion in restaurant and hospitality. He was currently the Co-Owner of Red Coal BBQ of Eau Claire, WI where he was passionate about serving darn good food to the Eau Claire community. Jon was a talented writer, and a witty and loyal friend. He had a humble and kind-hearted soul. We will miss him for the rest of our days. 

Jon will be lovingly remembered by his parents Joseph and Julie Ray and by his sister, Rebecca, brother-in-law, Arik Duhr, and his niece. He will be fondly remembered by his Grandmother, Nancy Rarey, and by all of his aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was loved by many.

Visitation will take place at Hulke Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Friday, October 5, 2018 from 5-8 pm.  Committal service will take place at 1 pm on Monday, October 8, 2018 in the Boone Hutcheson Cemetery in Greencastle, Indiana.
