Jesse A. Evans Jr.

Jesse A. Evans, Jr. 89, a lifelong farmer and Eminence resident, passed peacefully at his home, May 6th, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.

Born August 15th, 1928 to the late Jesse and Cressie Iola (Goss) Evans and was the last of 13 siblings.

Jesse was a graduate of Eminence High School class of 1946, and a long-time member of the Eminence Baptist Church.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 71 years, Mary (Patrick) Evans, Loving daughters, Jill Shields and Phyllis Quintana, Son-in-laws, Tommy Shields and Armando Quintana. 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild and 1 great-step-grandchild.

Services will be Thursday May 10th, 2018 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale at 2:00 pm, with calling hours from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Burial to follow at Mannan Cemetery, Lewisville, IN.

In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Eminence A&A Fire Department and Morgan County Weekday Religious Education.
