Everett Lee Arnold

Everett Lee Arnold, 87 of Quincy, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 22, 2019. Everett passed in peace, surrounded by family.

He was born on October 22, 1931, in Morgan County to the late Lee Roy and Edna (Steirwalt) Arnold. In addition to his parents and three siblings, Everett was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Emma Jane (Collier) Arnold.

In 1954, Everett began his lifelong passion career of farming, building the foundation of Arnold Farms to what it still is today. He worked hard for everything he had and wasn’t much for downtime. But throughout his life, Everett did enjoy spending time with his family and friends, going to church, flying his plane, golfing, and fishing.

Everett is survived by his five children, Larry (Marji) Arnold, Rick Arnold, Mike (Cathy) Arnold, Tim (Cheryl) Arnold, and Kevin (Lisa) Arnold. Eight grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 25, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Burial and the family’s private ceremony will follow at Mannan Cemetery. Condolences may be made at www.whitakerfuneralhome.net.
