Barbara "Bobbi" Nees

Barbara (Bobbi) B. Nees age 81 of Cloverdale, IN went to be with the Lord Monday January 6th, 2020 at home following an extended battle with cancer.

She was born December 29th, 1938 to the late Russell C. Baker and Dona Marie (Bell) Baker in Indianapolis,IN.

Bobbi Married the love of her life Roger D. Nees July 11th, 1958 at Fleming Garden Christian Church, he preceded her in death July 4th, 2011.

Bobbi and her husband built and lived in the same home during their life and her remaining years.

She graduated third in her class of 1957 from Ben Davis High School. She worked as the executive secretary to the president of Indiana National Bank and RCA in Bloomington. She owned and operated school buses for Cloverdale School for 25 plus years. Barbara served as an Owen County Trustee and was an elected Cloverdale School Board member serving her community. She was a fifty-year member of Eastern Star. Before her illness she attended Faith Baptist Church of Cunot.

She is survived by her children Beth Gillenwater (fiancée Wayne Burdette) of Poland, IN, Jo Ellen Remsburg (Troy) Greencastle, IN, John R. Nees (Sheri) of Salem, OR; grand children Ben Weaver, Zac Remsburg (Katey), Jon Weaver, Keegen Remsburg (Shelbi), Molly Gillenwater Thomas (Russel), Betsy Gillenwater, Jackson Nees, Justin Burdette, Josh Burdette (Grayce); and 5 great-grandchildren; sister -in-laws Cathy Baker and Marie Nees; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her brother Ronald Baker.

Funeral services for Bobbi will be at 1:00pm Saturday, January 11th, 2020 at Whitaker Funeral Home.
