Janice Elaine Robertson, 73, Cloverdale, passed to heaven peacefully in her home on March 16, 2010, after an extended illness.
Janice was born on September 15, 1936 in Greencastle, Indiana and was the daughter of the late Millard T. Mid and Christine E. [Lewis] Vaughan.
She was a lifelong resident of Cloverdale where she was a farmer, teacher, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a 1954 graduate of Cloverdale High School, awarded her bachelor degree from Indiana State University and was granted her masters degree from DePauw University. She educated high School students at Mooresville High School and Monrovia High School, where she retired from in 1994. Janice was awarded an outstanding teaching award for her dedicated service and excellence in teaching. Janice and her husband Bill, owned and operated Thread Bear Embroidery. In later years, she and Bill enjoyed gaming and travelling in their motor home.
She leaves behind a loving and devoted husband William L. Bill Robertson; son Billy Joe Walton and wife Beth, Mooresville; daughters, Danna Bishop and husband Bill, Marion and Denise Oxford and husband Kevin, Cloverdale; grandchildren, Sara and Sean Walton, Mooresville, Kristin Hodge and husband Luke, Fairmount, Scott Bishop, Chicago, Devin and Janna Oxford, Cloverdale.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Cloverdale Cemetery. Visitations will be held on Friday, March 19, 2010 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, March 20, 2010 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Daniel Danny Parker.
