Forrest Bullerdick, 93, Poland, passed away on March 16, 2009. He was born in Clay County on Oct. 5, 1915 and was the son of the late Perry and Lola [Cagle] Bullerdick. He married Virginia B. [Cline] Bullerdick on July 23, 1940.
He worked for the Kattman’s Store in Poland for twenty-seven years. He and his wife, Virginia were candle makers and owners of Kandle Korner for eighteen years. He was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ. He helped establish the Poland Volunteer Fire Department and remained very active in that organization.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia; three children, Jerry Bullerdick and wife Beverly, Henderson, NV, Eleanor Corey and husband Ken, Fishers, Norma Justice and husband Roland, Cloverdale and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters - Mary Smith and Ellen Wellings and brother - Kenneth Bullerdick.
Funeral services will be on Friday, March 20, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale with Rev Lynn James officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Poland Chapel Cemetery.
