Doughty, 97, Poland, passed away August 27, 2009 at St. Vincent Hospice, Indianapolis. She was born on December 13, 1911 at Mohawk, Indiana and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Estel [Wilson] Doughty. She was a retired bookkeeper for Gregory and Appel in Indianapolis and a member of the Cataract Yacht Club at Cunot, Indiana. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2009 at 4:00 PM at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale with Rev. Richard Doughty officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 30, 2009 at the funeral home. Graveside Interment Services will be held on Monday, August 31, 2009 at 10:30 AM at the Park Cemetery, Greenfield, Indiana. She is survived by her nieces, Margery Ratliff and Phyllis Wright; nephews, Phillip Doughty and Richard Doughty; sister-in-law, Margaret Doughty and her extended family, Jerry Holmes, Scott Holmes, Roberta Beaman and Marilyn Eckerman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Opal Wright, Effie Ward, Wynema Doughty and her brother Paul Doughty.
