Nettles, 87, Reelsville, formerly of McComb, Mississippi, passed away on August 25, 2009, at the Mill Pond Health Campus in Greencastle, Indiana. She was born on December 14, 1921 in Pike County, Mississippi and was the daughter of the late John L. and Winnie M. [McDaniel] Matthews. She was married to Hilton William Nettles and he preceded her in death on April 22, 2008. She was a homemaker and a member of O. E. S. # 369 in Cloverdale. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Schrock and husband Ron, Reelsville, Indiana and her son Charles Nettles and wife Penny of Maine. She is also survived by her sister Jeanene Allred of Hattiesburg, Mississippi and her brother Charles G. Matthews of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, grandchildren – Greg Nettles, Jeff Nettles, Michelle Root, Julie Beatty and Yvonne Lyon; numerous great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a sister – Pauline Preston and two brothers – Menton J. Matthews and Dewey L. Matthews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 31, 2009 at 12:00 PM [Noon] at the Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home, McComb, Mississippi with visitation on Monday, August 31, 2009 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM [Noon] at the funeral home.
