Laura Mae (Brinson)Tucker, passed away Thursday, June 25th, 2015 at Mill Pond Rehabilitation in Greencastle. She was born January 7th, 1932 in Owen County. She was the daughter of Clayton and Flossie (Watkins)Brinson. She married Leonard Tucker in 1951, and he survives.
She was a graduate of Spencer High School in 1950. She was a member of Shiloh Methodist Church in Owen County, and moved her membership to New Providence Baptist Church for the past eighteen years. Laura was a 4-H leader in the past in Owen County. She was a homemaker and was affiliated with Friends and Neighbors Homemakers Club. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, gardening, and canning. At one time she enjoyed square dancing, and celebrated her 64th wedding anniversary February 23rd, 2015.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters Lana Tucker, and Leah Veale and husband Keith. Three grandchildren, Samantha, Eric, Colin, and great grandson Braydn. Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law Joan and Al Tucker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons Larry and Lynn Tucker, six brothers, and three sisters.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday June 28th, 2015 at 2:00pm Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be held Saturday June 27th, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00pm.
