She was born on January 23, 1927 in Indianapolis, Indiana and was the daughter of Neil and Pearl [Reynolds] Houston. She was married to Howard R. Riley on August 24, 1985 and he survives. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church, Cloverdale and had been employed at Montgomery’s Butcher Shop located at Lynhurst and Washington in Indianapolis for 30 years. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with Pastor Wes McClure officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2009 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Floral Park Cemetery, Indianapolis on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 1:00 PM In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter – Carol Lynn Kirkendoll and son – Ricky Dillon. She is also survived by her Step-daughter – Kathy S. Williams and husband Mark R., Indianapolis; sister – Lola Materna, Plainfield and three grandchildren – Carrie Mansdach & husband Brandon, Plainfield, Ashley E.
