Vivian M. (Hall) Holliday passed away peacefully August 30, 2014 at the age of 98. She was born October 17, 1915 to Harry and Olive (Garhart) Hall.
During her career she worked at the Indiana State Farm and Champaign Central High School, Illinois where she retired the first time. She then became a housemother at Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity, Greencastle from which she retired the second time at the age of 75. She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist where she was a Reader, as well as a member of the Mother Church in Boston, MA. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and studying the bible. She will be greatly missed by everyone.
Survivors include her daughters Juliarose Hare (Robert) of Avon, and Billie J. Baldwin of Cloverdale, step-children Shirley A. Ward of Anderson and Harold S. Holliday of Florida. Grandchildren Lynn Hicks (Mark), Richard Baldwin (Gloria), Amanda Baldwin, step-grandchildren Tamara Bair and Jane Perry (Will), as well as several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Private services were conducted by Whitaker Funeral Home on September 3 with Rev. Steve Blades officiating. Burial was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
