Hicklen A. Gurney, Jr., 77, Crawfordsville, passed away on June 6, 2009 at Crawfordsville. He was born on October 5, 1931 in Marion County, Indiana and was the son of the late Hicklen A. and Florence (Fishero) Gurney.
He was married to Dixie R. Lutz on July 15, 1958 and she passed away on June 6, 2009. He was an automotive mechanic.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 12, 2009 at 8:00 PM at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, June 12, 2009 at the funeral home. I
He is survived by his children – Dawn K. Handwork and husband Keith, Jennifer L. Jost & husband Eugene C., Allen Gurney, Steven M. Gurney, Dennis L. Gurney, Gene Gurney and wife Vicki and James P. Gurney and wife Shannon; sisters – Carol Ann Crafton and husband Ronnie and Sharon Coram and husband David, 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his daughters – Kimberly Ann and Debra Sue Gurney and his brother – Robert Gurney.
