Robert [Bob] Earl Schopmeyer Born on: August 24, 1935 Departed on: May 20, 2009 Visitation: May 23, 2009 at 4:30 pm Service: May 24, 2009 at 2:00 pm Burial: Croy's Creek Cemetery, Reelsville, Indiana Robert “Bob” Earl Schopmeyer, 73, Poland, passed away on May 20, 2009, at the St. Vincent Clay Hospital. He was born in Clay County, Indiana on August 24, 1935 and was the son of the late Clayburn Harry and Minnie F. (Waldron) Schopmeyer. He was a chemical engineer for Ulrich Chemical Company, Terre Haute, member of the Jordan Village Presbyterian Church, Brazil Elks and a veteran of the United States Army during Korea. He married Joyce A. (Fowler) Schopmeyer on July 12, 1958 and she survives. Also surviving are his children; Bobbie Jo McKinney and husband Greg, Reelsville, Patricia Lynn Davis and husband Tony, Spencer and Joyce Darlene Hayes and husband Sam, Jordan Village; sisters – Barbara Powell, Poland, Kaaren S. Kennedy, Cloverdale and Loretta Pellam and husband Frank, Poland and brother – Ronald A. Schopmeyer and wife Nancy; grandchildren - Nicholaus Campbell and wife Dana, Grant Perkins and wife Kelly, Brandon McKinney, Blake Perkins, Erika Barr, Brittnee McKinney and Allie Hayes; great-grandchildren – Garrielle and Cole Campbell, Gavin Perkins and Alaina Day. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, IN, with Pastor Dick Poff officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2009 from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Croy's Creek Cemetery.
