Herman Leo Rubeck Born on: March 3, 1917 Departed on: May 18, 2009 Visitation: May 21, 2009 at 12:00 pm Service: May 21, 2009 at 1:30 pm Burial: Zion Cemetery, Poland, Indiana Herman Leo “Toad” Rubeck, 92, Spencer formerly of Poland, passed away on May 18, 2009, at the Bloomington Hospital. He was born in Owen County, Indiana on March 3, 1917 and was the son of the late George Herman and Rose (Comer) Rubeck. He was a farmer and a veteran of the United States Army Air corps during WW II. He is survived by his nieces and nephews; Pat Steele, Cloverdale; Shirley and , Fishers; Brenda and Wayne Weekley, Martinsville; Frank and Cathy Scott, Bloomington; Dewayne Scott, Yorktown, TX; Marvin Scott, Yorktown, TX; Chris and Konnie Herbert, Cloverdale and Russ and Marge Herbert, Cloverdale. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his Step-mother, Olive Elizabeth Rubeck, Sisters, Clema Scott and Isabelle Butler and his Brother forest Rubeck. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 1:30 PM at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, IN, with Rev. Steve Williams officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2009 from 12:00 PM until service time.
