Davis, 75, Cloverdale, passed away on April 23, 2009, at Indianapolis. He was born in Muncie, Indiana on December 17, 1933 and was the son of the late John W. and Orpha P. [Newman] Davis. He was a retired from the United State Air Force [OSI District 13] as a Master Sergeant and later was employed as a mechanic. He married Wilma C. [Stattner] Davis on August 13, 1955 and she survives. Also surviving are his children; Konnie Herbert and husband Chris, Cloverdale, Kristi Laxton and husband Dave, Lafayette, John K. Davis and wife Diane, Cloverdale, Louis K. Davis, Cloverdale, Kerry Davis and wife Linda, Spencer, Kevin Davis and wife Dawne, Carmel; sister – Judy Wilson, Dunkirk, IN; brother – Jay Davis and wife Mary, Matthews, IN, 22 grandchildren and 19 Great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Clara Lovan. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 27, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with Pastor Steve Williams officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 27, 2009 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Cloverdale Cemetery.
