Kennedy, 85, Greencastle, formerly of Cloverdale, passed away on March 20, 2009 at the Putnam County Hospital. She was born in French Lick, Indiana on July 20, 1923 and was the daughter of the late Herbert and Nora Ellen {Martin} Lashbrook. She married Kenneth Lawrence Kennedy on November 17, 1942 and he preceded her in death on July 6, 1973. She was a member of the Cloverdale Church of Christ. She was a homemaker and cook at the Cloverdale Elementary School. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Cloverdale Cemetery. She is survived by her daughter – Glee Ellen Kerr and husband Bill, Cloverdale; brother – Walter K. Lashbrook and wife Eldeana, Terre Haute, Indiana; 3 grandchildren – Rachel Barrier and husband Seth, Minot, ND, Erica Lotz and Tyler Kennedy Lotz, both of Cloverdale. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister – Lillian Gale Bloomhuff and brothers, Edward D. and Richard O. Lashbrook.
