She was born on October 22, 1927 in Indianapolis and was the daughter of the late Omer and Nellie B. [DeBruger] Tingle. She was married to William J. “Ted” Slicer on July 25, 1956 and he preceded her in death on April 1, 2001. She was a homemaker. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be on Saturday, July 17, 2010 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Hudson Hill Cemetery, Gosport. She is survived by her daughters, Susie Booker, Pittsboro, Ginger Lee Socks, Columbus and Deborah Ann Scotten, Indianapolis, sisters, Mary Ann Miller, Greenwood and Nancy Young, Indianapolis, brother, Dale K. Tingle and wife Pamela, Spencer, 9 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Douglas O., David M., Damon L., Daniel B. and Donald F. Tingle.
