Morrison, 95, Monrovia, passed away on May 4, 2010 at her residence. She was born on April 6, 1915 in Putnam County, Indiana and was the daughter of the late William Martin and Gertrude Viola [Lasley] Alkire. She married Kenneth Morrison on August 25, 1934 and he preceded her in death on January 7, 2010. She was a homemaker and a 1934 graduate of Cloverdale High School. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 7, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with Pastor Jerry Huber officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, May 7, 2010 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Cloverdale Cemetery. She is survived by her son, Venice E. Morrison and wife Sue Nell, Cloverdale, 3 grandchildren, Christina VanArsdale and husband Cecil, Greencastle, Laurina Hughes and husband David, Cloverdale and William Morrison and wife Sonya, Cloverdale, 8 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parent she was preceded in death by her sister, Lucille McCullough, brothers, Benson Alkire and Eugene Alkire and her grandson, Kenzie Wayne Morrison.
